'Unforgivable' ended with Severus and Hermione coming to an agreement, but still basically strangers. 'Moments of Transition' guides us through their relationship as they become friends, and perhaps when tragedy strikes they discover that what they have is even more.

Set after 'Moments of Transition' we begin this story with our main characters each more than a little bit in love with the other. However, both of them believe for various reasons that, while the other sees them as a friend, any attraction is unrequited. So what will happen when Viktor Krum gets an offer to play for a British club? Is Percy really in league with the Dark Lord? What happened on that night back in December, what does it mean for Severus and how will it affect the future of the Wizarding world? 

Hermione, having been Imperiused during the War, commits several murders that lead to her being abandoned by Ron and Harry. During her imprisonment in Azkaban, she becomes connected to Draco and Severus whilst they all wait for trial. When all three are acquitted, they go into business together, as no one else will work with them. However, Hermione Granger is no longer the same person she was at Hogwarts, and she refuses all contact with her former friends. When Ron attempts to break into her life, a terrible disaster follows, leaving only Severus and Draco to pick up the pieces. With Harry, Ginny, and Lavender now attempting to find her, Hermione struggles to maintain the small amount of peace she has built up for herself after Azkaban, but will she find herself back there for life?

Written before Deathly Hallows was published, 'Thorns Amongst the Blooms' is set more than four years after Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with the conflict between the Order and the Death Eaters heading towards the closing stages.

For three years Hermione has been Severus's Secret-Keeper. Over that time they've come to share a close but secret relationship, but all that has gone before is cast into doubt when Hermione is placed under an Imperius Curse. Will Severus believe himself betrayed and turn to Voldemort for real, or will this be the turning point in the war that the Order have been waiting for?

I'm not exactly certain that it rates a graphic sex warning, more of an R than NC-17 but I thought it was better to play safe.

Hermione runs into Snape unexpectedly at a Ministry function. Their reunion is nothing like either of them expected.
